As we approach the festive season we hope you are in good health in what has been an extremely challenging year for everyone – we are very proud of what has been achieved in a difficult year.
Despite having to close our doors for the first time ever in March we continued on throughout the year working mostly on a team and appointment based system and despite this we are delighted to have found forever homes for over 500 dogs and cats.
We were also able to continue with our other activities including our weekly Dog Day out events, where our long term dogs avail of an external dog park, our socialisation programme for new adopters and the development of our puppy plan to ensure all our pups get the best start in life. We have continued to work in partnership with Women’s Aid and we’re delighted to have assisted 8 of their service users.
We’re also delighted to have received planning permission for the field development to the rear of our premises and work will commence in early 2021.
Our volunteers, working alongside staff, have contributed to our success and have embraced the many changes faced to ensure we could continue meeting our aims and objectives, while adhering to Covid 19 Health & Safety Guidelines.
The difficulties faced, including not being able to conduct any of our normal fundraising events, were lessened due to the continued support we received from yourselves and this will ensure we come out the other side.
So, here’s to 2021 which will see us celebrate our 25th Anniversary and we hope that you will be able to join us as it is you who have made us the organisation we are!
Best wishes from all at Mid Antrim Animal Sanctuary for your support in 2020 and we hope you and yours have a great Christmas and New Year!
