Joy
Female
3 1/2 Years
Bully type dog (Not XL)
Joy had been rehomed by the sanctuary some time ago, the sanctuary were shocked to find out she had been given away by the adopters.
Adopters sign up to an agreement that should you not be able to keep your adopted sanctuary dog/cat that you return them to our care. This could be in 6 weeks or 6 years, the rules are the same and are there to protect the animals future.
The people that Joy was given away to were no longer able to keep her and we are thankful that they did the right thing in returning her to our care.
Joy had spent some time here at the sanctuary during her last stay, her breed type and her anxieties probably played a part in this.
Joy is a lovely lady but she can be bouncy and will need a home without young children.
Joy did form some lovely relationships with some dogs here at the sanctuary but she does have quite a rough play style so any other dogs should be tolerant of this.
We have restarted Joy on her anxiety meds since her return but this will perhaps take some time to reach efficacy.
We will support Joys meds on our supported adoption scheme and we will give behaviour support if needed by way of our Aprils Wish program.
