MAAS will cover the cost of a number of 1 to 1 behaviour sessions with a behaviourist of our choosing and who believes in a force free approach to training and behaviour. This may be pre and post adoption.
This will be coupled by whatever we need to as staff to increase the chance that we can keep Shep in his forever home.

Shep is seeking an experienced adult only home.
Unfortunately this little guys has been in a few homes in his past but finds himself with us to begin his search once again.
Whilst Sheps behaviour is not challenging within the sanctuary he often finds himself get into difficulties within a home environment.
Usually these incidents of aggression are around resource guarding items or things he values within the home. A toy, a fave bed area or the like.
When we couple someone not experienced with reading dog body language and Shep settling into a new environment this has proven to be challenging.
Shep is a fantastic little chappie with bags of personality. We are not ready to give up on his dream of a forever home.
We have decided Shep will need the following so please only apply if you meet the criteria.

Quiet Adult only home

Two people max will live in the home

You will be experienced dog owner who has some understanding of reading dog body language.

You will have a positive approach to training and behaviour- Shep does not need to be shown who is the boss.

You will be available for numerous meets with staff/Shep at the sanctuary.
We feel Shep may be able to live with another dog pending successful meet and greets.

If you are interested in offering this dog a home and you meet the criteria listed, then please click on the following link to complete an online application.
