Bert has sadly had some negative experiences in his life which has led to some fears around meeting new people. Bert certainly appreciates a slow introduction but he is a little guy that’s worth taking the time to get to know.

Bert has spent some time settling in the sanctuary and building relationships and he really enjoys a fuss and a cuddle from his carers that he knows well and has a good relationship with.

When Bert learns to trust you get to see a lovely playful little guy full of energy. He really enjoys his walks and giving everything he meets a very thorough sniff.

Bert will be part of our Aprils Wish program so you will have the added benefit of some free behaviour sessions pre- and post-adoption in an effort to help you understand and manage Bert’s issues throughout the adoption process.

Bert will need an adult-only home due to his behavioural issues.

Although Bert has always lived as an only dog – but we will consider homes with other dogs pending successful, slow meet and greets.
