Red

Sadly, Red has been with us for over two years now. Red has some fears around meeting new people and appreciates a slow introduction to build a good relationship with him – but once he’s comfortable around you he is full of kisses and cuddles.

Red also struggles with traffic and busy areas so he is in need of an active new home in a quiet area. Here at our Sanctuary he is exercised in our enclosed paddocks and is often taken off-site to quieter areas for calm walks – he travels really well in the car/van.

Red has also shown reactivity to other dogs, he will need to be the only dog in the home.

Red would be best suited in an adult only home and he will need an experienced owner who is capable of working through these issues. He is also a part of our April’s Wish programme – which will include sessions with a dog behaviourist pre- and post-adoption to help him transition into his new home.

Red has so much love to give, when he feels safe and secure he piles this onto you, whether you want it or not, we hope someone eventually sees what we do in Red.
